Upcoming Hiatus

3 min read
Been a while since I've written a journal but I did promise to write one before I take some reprieve from deviantArt so here it is. I'm not much of a literature person, so bear with me and congratulations on making it this far into the journal.
:congrats:
As some of you may already know, I'm going to be enlisting into the army in a few days so I will not have the luxury of time to practice digital arts for around a month. Even after the initial month into enlistment, I'll still have National Service stuff to attend to throughout the following couple of years so art progress will be slowed. Dramatically. Fret not though, I've not lost interest in digital aesthetics and will try to find the time to keep up this 3-year old hobby of mine despite most of my time being spent living in military camps and doing military stuff. It'll be fun and I'm optimistic about the experience.
back 2 back
Over the last half a year, deviantArt and it's members have been a incredible source of support for my hobby, encouraging me to perpetually learn and constantly trying to improve my craft. Yes indeed, I'm talking about you guys. All the support in terms of Favs+fav, WatchesAdded to my devWatch!  and Comments:blahblah: revamp have spurred me greatly in my aesthetic endeavors. I've been attempting to repay such kindness with tutorials to explain how I do my artworks and the various methods I've used to begin each work from sketchy linework, to photo plates to random splotching of digital paint. Hope they'll help you as much as you've helped me and there will be more to come. Just at, perhaps, a slower rate.
Cheerin' on mah snail
Once again I wish to express my appreciation for your appreciation, fellow deviants. I'm keeping afloat with all the awesome comments and constructive feedback you've provided on my works thus far, and have replied with (dare I say) nearly all of them. Shrug Truly I have grown alongside those words of encouragement, affirmation and criticism and I hope you'll continue to stay with me in our aesthetic journey to greatness. Till next time.;) (Wink)
Up and on. Emote king - :emoteking:

Let Me Begin

4 min read
I’M BACK~ from the stress of studies and a holiday in Victoria, Australia. The scenery there was stunning and it really helped to build up my visual library for the landscapes I enjoy doing. But this journal isn't to praise the natural endowments of the Down Under (don’t…), so let’s just begin from the beginning...

7 months ago, my initial plan was to sign up as a deviantArtist after my ‘A’ level examinations but eagerness led me to start early. So as my completed examination scripts are being sent to Cambridge for marking, I shall be more involved in posting my works on deviantArt! deviantART

Breaking the last few months of inactivity at last, it does feel as if I've begun again as a deviantArtist. Here I'll also like to thank every watcher I have the honour of obtaining and every fav I've amassed thus far. Thanks for everything! Also, I’m not to forgetting the llama badges and point donations. Thank you all truly for your support.
(And if returning a llama has slipped my mind, drop me a note and I’ll drop you one of those furry little badges *while stocks last*)
Hooray Llama Badges :iconllamatruckplz:

Winner As many of you are new Watchers to my page and I so do appreciate everyone’s donation, llamas, comments and faves.
The clinching of a Daily Deviation is my first and I’m overwhelmed by the (what I assume to be usual) amount of support received through the award. The ballooning of my usual meager inbox of a dozen to the hundreds really took me aback, but like, keep em coming of course. :D (Big Grin)

As I continually improve though constant practice and observation, I welcome all comments on my artworks. I absolutely adore the encouragement, constructive criticism and anecdotes posted under my works. (Spams and rick rolls less so)
While you guys look at the art, I look at the comments, and it becomes a common page for both artist and audience to learn simultaneously. So poetic, I know… Much deep, very meaning. arc (Dingo Lover)

All in all, this journal is done to express my thanks to the overwhelming support I have received since I've started. Couldn't have gotten this far without you guys and there is lots more to go...

Just a heads up though, I’ll be joining the army in early Feb next year. Killjoy, I know. National service will render me less able to provide timely updates to my gallery though I expect to still be doing art should I find the time. In spite of this, I sincerely hope you'll join me in my aesthetic journey, fellow deviants.

Up and on. Emote king - :emoteking:
